Help Remap the Northeast and Support Hurricane Sandy Recovery

When Hurricane Sandy hit in October 2012, it caused dramatic changes to the coastlines of New York and New Jersey.  In July 2013 Navionics launched the Sandy Project in order to generate updated charts that reflect the significant coastline and bathymetric changes. Not only does remapping the coast help Navionics achieve their mission to offer the most accurate charting available, it allows individual boaters to help ensure the safety of on-water activities by making certain that major changes are reported and charted.  This helps organizations like the NY/NJ Baykeeper and Raritan Riverkeeper conduct their boat patrols to spot pollution. For every boater who helps Navionics remap the coast, Navionics will make a donation to NY/NJ Baykeeper – a nonprofit organization focused on protecting, preserving and restoring the Hudson-Raritan Estuary.  How to help: Hummingbird and Garmin users can record sonar logs, than upload them to the Navionics chart installer.
