Baykeeper Impact

To date, we have planted over 8 million oysters in NY-NJ Harbor waters and will continue to grow 200k – 500k new oysters annually.

Since 1989, NY/NJ Baykeeper and its partners have preserved and restored more than three thousand acres of critical habitat in the midst of one of the busiest and most industrialized ports in the world.

Through municipal action teams , we’ve helped install over a dozen green infrastructure projects to mitigate sewage overflow into NJ waterways.
