The NY-NJ Harbor Estuary, also known as the Hudson-Raritan Estuary, is a system of waterways and habitats that form one of the most intricate natural harbors in the world. Since 1989, NY/NJ Baykeeper has worked to protect, preserve and restore the environment of the most urban estuary on Earth.

Grab a kayak and come join us on our Matawan Creek Kayak Tour!
Take in the beauty of our natural waterways; see a diversity of wildlife including blue herons, diamondback terrapins (turtles), hundreds of plant species, learn about the history of the area and visit the site of the infamous 1916 Matawan Creek Shark Attack.
Event Details:
We will be meeting at A Canoe to You, the red building by the Keyport Municipal Boat Ramp. Please arrive by 10:15 am to ensure we have enough time to get everyone situated and on the water! Don’t forget bring water and sun protection!
Have everyone in your party fill out the Online Waiver (the link can also be found in your confirmation email.)
