Demand that Boater Registration Money Goes Towards What it’s Intended For!

If you have paid for a boat registration in NJ recently then I want to thank you for contributing to the upkeep of our Department of Transportation.  Yet, tacked onto the boat registration is a fee that is supposed to go back into projects to assist recreational boaters, such as pumpout facilities and Clean Marinas.  But the Christie Administration has been shifting this money - nearly $2 million annually - into the general fund and away from projects designed to improve water quality.  So, you are still paying the fee, but not receiving the benefits for which it was originally enacted. To make your voice heard, call Governor Chris Christie today at 609-292-6000.
